What is the minimum amount required to open a Live Investing Account?

In order to open a Live investing account, you must complete the application for a Live account.
Can I begin live investing without setting goals?

Yes, you can jump right in and start investing. Just take the following three simple steps:

No, there is no minimum amount of money that you need to maintain in your live investing account.

If I don't live in the United States, can I still open a Live Investing Account?
Yes, you can open a Live Investing Account. For non-US customers opening a Live Investing Account there is a small one-time fee for processing of a W-8BEN tax form, which is used to certify that you are not a United States citizen or resident alien. (Non-United States citizens/residents are exempt from United States tax on capital gains and interest, but are subject to United States withholding tax on dividends based on their country of origin). There is a one-time $5.00 processing fee for this certification, which will be debited from your initial deposit.

What happens, and what should I do, if someone hacks into my investing account?

If you’re a SIC Global Customer and feel unauthorized activity has occurred in your account, it’s important to act fast. Please contact Customer Service at India Toll Free no. 1800 120 9226 and print, complete and return the attached Unauthorized Activity Affidavit to us. Once received, we’ll research your claim and contact you with the results.

Does SIC charge any non-trading fees?

There are fees for certain types of non-trading customer requests, such as receiving a paper copy of your Customer Statement, or if you want to withdraw funds from your account by wire. Is there any minimum maintenance fee for my Live Investing Account?

No, there are no maintenance fees regardless of the amount of funds in your Live Investing Account.

What is the "Investment Airbag?"

In order to manage risk and minimize potential losses, SIC Global has created the new Investment Airbag feature. With the Investment Airbag, you are able to decide the price at which an investment would automatically sell. What does this mean? It means that when you buy a stock, you are able to input a “Percent Protected” level, and the Airbag will create a stop order that will be triggered if the protection percentage level is passed. This helps to protect you, the investor, against a sudden drop in stock price. The Airbag can be set to any level of protection, and customized to individual positions.

If you opt to turn on the Investment Airbag and then wish to reset your protection level, you must cancel the stop order that was created by the Airbag, and enter a new sell stop order.

1) When you purchase a stock, you will have the option to turn the Investment Airbag On or Off (the default setting is off) and select the level at which you would like it be sold if it drops below.

How do I customize my homepage?

You can customize your homepage to your liking by clicking the STAR symbol, and fill it up with things such as:

  • Products that are interesting to you
  • Products that you own
  • Articles that you are currently reading or may interest you
  • Questions you have posed and/or wish to follow
How do I customize my profile?

By clicking onto the “Profile” section on the dropdown section at the top right (from any page on the App), you are able to edit your profile by filling in personal information in order to personalize your page and how other investors view you.

How do I navigate through my Investments page?

If you would like to see the positions and products that you already own, simply click “Your Investments” from the left side navigation bar. From here, you can see a list of the investment products you are invested in and things like:

  • How many shares you own
  • The current market price
  • The total value of all of your shares of the investment product
  • The overall change in value of the product since you bought it

You can also click into the products if you wish to buy more of a product or sell the shares that you already own.

For example, if from the “Your Investments” page you wish to sell all 6 shares of Southwest Airlines (Product Symbol: LUV) that you own at the market price, simply click into the product, check the sell circle, and enter the quantity of shares (in this case, 6) you wish to sell. You can then review your order and see your total selling price before submitting it!

What do the hashtags(#) mean?

Hashtags are a way for you, the investor, to be able to keep an eye on various topics, articles, and products that interest you. With a Hashtag (e.g. #LUV) you can see all of the different things that people are saying about a certain product!
